Safety Construction is inherently hazardous, but jobsite safety is a core value to Edison Foard. There are many ways to reduce injuries, and our saftey program provides the environment to make this successful. It is the policy of Edison Foard that every employee is entitled to work under the safest possible conditions. It is our belief that all accidents can be prevented. Accidents can injure people, damage machinery and destory materials; causing needless personal suffering and expense. A formalized saftey program is required due to the volume and the challenging work we perform. Tom Brown, our General Superintendent, coordinates the saftey program of Edison Foard. Edison Foard also contracts with SafteyTech Consultants to provide specialized training and bi-weekly site inspections. Certain projects and particular stages of construction require weekly inspections. Even with outside support, responsibility for safety on each job remains with the superintendent of that job. And Edison Foard provides the resources that make our safety program successful. The only acceptable level of performance is to be incident free on all of our jobsites each day. We believe that such performance is achievable with full commitment from each employee.
