While we have been fortunate to have been building since 1939, we recognize our reputation is only as strong as our last project. We approach our client’s toughest building challenges with a positive, can-do attitude, and our professionals bring unparalleled experience and knowledge to our projects. Our innovative practices and growth-oriented project approach serves to grow and expand with the Carolinas during an exciting time in the regions’ history. With growth comes change, and Edison Foard is at the forefront.

Construction Management at Risk
Our longstanding relationships with local subcontractors ensures your project reflects current market conditions and benefits from competitive pricing. Our goal is zero cost surprises at bid opening, and our preconstruction team has delivered successful budgets for numerous clients, including NCDOT, the City of Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, and the State Construction Office.
Our single point of contact engagement offers an integrated, seamless approach. You can expect clear communication, focused cost management, attention to detail, and an unwavering commitment to safety and quality.
Thanks to our decades of relationship building within the construction industry, we are able to draw on a deep knowledge of local market conditions to deliver competitive pricing that saves our clients money without sacrificing quality. Our knowledgeable team is skilled at working with multiple stakeholders to fulfill the owner’s vision and ensure a successful project.
The Edison Foard team brings a wealth of experience and know-how to every project and an outstanding track record of delivering projects on time and on budget. We believe success stems from relationships – those we have and those we will build – and we work hard to maintain and strengthen these ties. A great example is our more than 30-year relationship with the Charlotte Douglas International Airport, where we were chosen as the Construction Manager on the Terminal Lobby Expansion & Central Energy Plant.
We believe it is our collective responsibility to build sustainability into everything we do, from incorporating materials with an environmentally friendly footprint to using state-of-the-art techniques that reduce material waste. All LEED projects are staffed with qualified professionals who understand how to manage a project with minimal environmental impact.
We use Building Information Modeling (BIM) to create a realistic virtual model that lets us predict – and prevent – potential construction hazards and assists our team with creating optimal site logistics. On-site managers can access the BIM model and related documentation easily while in the field.
We have received multiple Carolinas AGC safety awards for no lost time accidents and are a recipient of the N.C. State Building Commission’s Excellence in Construction Award, testament to our excellent safety record. We also have worked in successful partnership with the N.C. Department of Labor on multiple projects.
